woah today quite tiring. i kinda did repairing brain-dead. at least the day ended with me properly repairing that stupid trevor james flute. open the key already all the stupid shims fall out. wtf la. got like 5723857832 of them. zz. had to re-shim the whole flute. zz.

btw shimming is like. putting papers of different thickness and sizes under the pad of the key to make it balanced, so that there will be no airleaks. its frustrating and it makes your brain tired out. lol.

anyway. after work i rushed down to cityhall. while looking for a money changer, i was approached by this malay guy.

'eh brudder can spare a minute?' LOL.

fuck it appeared he just came out of jail. he had papers to prove it. long story short, his dad dissed him then he whack the father, then kena chase out of house. he said he hadn't eaten for 2 days... he did look like it. lol. anyway i gave him like $10 bucks lah, i see him quite pitiful. i bet you guys think i was cheated. i think i wasn't. i just felt he was genuine. joker sial. he say i good brother. then he give me his hp number.

i went for RJ alumni concert just now.. it was pretty okay. wtf more than 10 flutes. lol, i guess saints alumni got more than 10 flutes now, since got new additions from jc and sec 4 (and 5 =p). i doubt there's band this saturday.

well. on saturday i had a christmas eve party at home.. had my extended family over.. ate and ate, but i didn't eat much. no appetite. hmm. i spent most of the time on the comp anyway. call me anti-social or what, i don't care hahahah. the adults were talking about stuff that i couldn't find anything to say, so i didn't bother talking.

at 12am i opened my pressies.. poor fare this year. only got 5 altogether i think! hah. mom got me that DNKY apple perfume thing. damn nice. lol. bro got me a diesel tee.. dad gave me $ to spend while we were over in dubai (not counting this!). aunt gave me a black fila shirt, uncle gave me like 5 novels. mad! ahaha. i got 1 more pressie today, given by my cousin and his newly-wedded wife. haha. its like. 18karat white gold coated earstuds. the stones were zirconium or SOMETHING like that. 'gemstones'. i wonder how much it cost them. hmm. doesn't look cheap. anyway there were 2. i dunno how to wear, the stones are circular. looks pretty gay, imho. hmm.

i woke up at 3pm on sunday. gamed the day away. boring huh. today, later in the aftn i gotta go out to town, lend firz my black shoes.. sheesh. no one to go out with. i know what to do lah. go out pass then slack somewhere read book lim coffee. zz.

shit... what a night. a lot to blog about.

okay, i went to town around 6.. waited for des, elv and auggy to come.. was waiting at spinelli's, outside heeren. slacked there till like 8, then we wenta eat at that place, what? kobayoshi? at cine that one. yeah. whatever it's called.

then we went to chinablack. the experience sucked. got a lot of illegal entries. elv and auggy couldn't get in, des and i did. they got their tickets refunded, then we all went to harry's bar, opposite forum. okay here's where the fun starts.

while walking there, outside the thai embassy there were these drunk indian men. one of them started shouting, then he gyrated his hips forward and started shouting 'COME! COME!' then we laugh until like fuck, say he siao already. little did we know. ROFL.

we went to harry's bar. i had like. 4 or 5 kinds of cocktails, a mug of beer there. before that i had a shot of vodka and a mug of beer at chinablack already. there was this really good live band. they played stuff like sweet child of mine, smooth and other stuff. yeah. beats going to chinablack, or where ever. we started to get high during smooth. i thought that was being drunk already. ROFL. then everyone started falling off their stools. elv tried to break and fell down. LOL. then the bar was about to close so we paid the bill and stumbled out.

okay along that stretch of road. there're LOTS of transvestites about okay. so i was screaming stupid stuff. and they were like 'want fuck? want fuck?' then i was like NONONONONO. then we laugh laugh all the way to indochine. that's where the drunkedness settled in. i did stuff like ROFLCOPTER ROFLCOPTER LOLLERSKATES LOLLERSKATES. then i sit at the stone chair and i think i shouted stupid stuff like 'who wants to fuck me, its free!' and 'i'm gay i'm gay!'

AND. there was this fucking trans who followed us all the way. everytime i said 'fuck me fuck me' she/he would go like ' WO YAO WO YAO!' then i shout like 'WO BU YAO WO BU YAO' then she/he just sit there wait. after a while she/he got up and like walk past me and squeeze his/her boobs and whine like 'wo yao wo yao' then i said wo bu yao like 10 times. then she walk off i said 'FUCK OFF' 'FUCKING SHEMALE' 'CHEEBYE'. i also dunno what i say, but i rmb saying fuck off. lolololol. then the rest of the guys like laughing at every fucking thing. zz. des pissed on the plants.. err. then they climbed the big stack of boxes/presents outside orchard mrt. and played thumbi beat. wished everyone who walked past a merry fucking christmas.. lol.

day 5.

today, we went to this place called al ain. its actually a district where there're lots of oases. (that's plural of oasis btw.) yeah. we visited a museum, where there're lotsa artefacts that document the history and progress of the united arab emirates. even got archaeological stuff. cool sial. lolol. they got old swords, daggers and guns. got pics. heheh. there was a gift from japan too. it was a katana. a REAL one. freakin cool. never seen a real one before; its strange to see a real one in a place that contrasts with japan greatly. haha. again, i've got pics. wait till i'm home. i'm going to flood my blog with pics.

after the museum, we had lunch in the middle of an oasis. i walked around.. you'd think an oasis is a pool of water with lotsa palm trees around. it's not though. date trees are allowed to grow freely, and there's grass everywhere, a rarity in this area. haha. the place is watered by an irrigation system, and is divided by walls into different plots. i didn't get to see the water source. the place is like a maze. no kidding. really like a maze.

we drove back to dubai, reached back in time for an early dinner, which we had at the grand hyatt. its 5star.. freaking cool. the public toilets, sink there no tissue paper. only got towel. use already throw into a bin for reuse. really 5*. lol. had dinner at this place that's like marche. 'market restaurant'. hmm lol. oh! there was a breadtalk outlet outside hyatt too. its like a cafe-style thing. but they have almost 0 business. bad location. haha.

after dinner we went to the jumeira area, which is where the big houses are. its right beside the beach, in sight of The Sail. yes that 7star hotel, which everyone knows about. i got a few pics and a video of the sail from the beach. can beat any beach in sg hands down. the sand is. woah. when you pick it up and throw, the sand seems to dissolve into the air, like the desert sand. the sand doesn't dirty your hands. after you throw it, it really leaves your hand. completely clean. now i know how they clean utensils in the desert using sand. haha. the waves. wow. really wow. you can't hear anything over the roaring of the waves. and the waves are really aggressive too. couldn't get pics or vids, cause it was too dark. oh well. haha. i need to get a few more shishas. i wonder if i have enough money left. oh well.

its homeward bound tomorrow night, i'll be home on wednesday morning.

wah wah wah today 2nd last day in dubai. am going to an oasis later. shall blog about it when i get back. there's nothing much else to do already i think. bought people their shishas, bought other pressies.. hmm. well anyway yesterdayyy....

day 4.

my parents dragged me to a business meeting/lunch with some guy. had italian lunch buffet. i must've looked so outta place. everyone wearing business clothing and i'm like. punk rock. haha. anyway that guy owns a porsche cayenne S. he drove us to lunch; we left our car at his office. hahah. the car is. freaking power. as in. really. damn power. like 100kmph in what. 6++ sec. damn cool. for travelling about 5km, he used up 20km worth of petrol, or so the COMPUTERIZED meter showed at the dashboard. damn damn cool. AND. it only costs S$140k over here in dubai. in sg it costs $400k. lololol. over here a mitsubishi lancer sport costs $13k. roflmao? yeah.

well after that we visited 2 malls. one has this snow city thing.. and the other stretches for like 1km long. it has different sections, each section has its own theme. like for example. there's old china, persia, tunisia, egypt. yeahhh. like that. the designs are really amazing. for a mall, that is. haha.

oh another thing about malls over here that i bet most of you all won't like. aha. you can smoke anywhere. as in. anywhere. except in the shops itself lah. but you can sit in the aircon, or walk or whatever.. and smoke. lol. no law yet.. oh well.

well! last night i was too enthralled by a book i started reading, wouldn't go to sleep till i finished reading it. so i didn't have time to blog yesterday. so i'll be doing an entry for 2 days. oh, btw the book i read is called the greenstone grail. its a mixture of sci-fi, religious references, and fantasy. REALLY good. well. here's my 2nd day in dubai.

day 2.

i woke up in the mornin, had breakfast at home. parents and i headed out to a marks and spencer outlet somewhere. i bought a shirt.. way too ex. shouldn't have bought it. not worth it. aha. mostly went mall-hopping. got a pair of jeans from zara.. ermm. what else? not much already. we had a buffet lunch at some seaside restaurant.. there were a lot of flies around. then lotsa people came and started smoking shisha, made the flies disappear. yayy. yeah. day 2 was mostly really really boring. lots of mall hopping. spent most of it reading my book anyway. on to day 3, which is today.


day 3.

okay today was REALLY REALLY fun. woke up pretty early. we went to this seaside marina area again. walked to this area called a souk. its like a giant bazaar. its like, we have wet markets in singapore, but since it doesn't rain here, they've got these bazaars. anyway they're split up into different sections. we first walked to the textiles and clothing section. spent an hour or so there. did some shopping for cloths. i bought 2 shawls. heheh. i also figured, while walking alongside a mosque, that all mosques over here can put the grandest mosque in singapore to shame, no kidding. and there're lotsa mosques too. like i said. 1 km got 3? lol. yeh anyway back to souks.

we took a water taxi to cross this river. trade's still happening there. think of boat quay and singapore river in those OLD OLD pictures. its like that. haha. we went to the souks across the river. those were the gold and spice sections. the spice wasn't very interesting... but the gold.. omfg i got a story to tell.

we went window-shopping. note that. WINDOW. we passed this shop yeah? looked at the warez. imba.imba.imba. everything more diamonds than lee hwa. lolol. okay. THEN. there was this. HUGE diamond set in a slender silver ring. it was like. 1 cm by 2 cm?! yeah. parents were like. 'aiyah fake diamond oneeee' then they walked on.. i looked for the price tag. it was. er. very long. about 1.7 million. LOLOLOLOLOL. no joke. they put 1.7mil stuff on display. imagine what's in the shop. LOL. yyyyyeeeaaaaaah.

we went home for lunch, i dropped by at the supermarket. had a sudden urge to know the price of cigs. so i bought a pack. some weird brand. pines menthol lights. guess what. cigs cost $1.50 over here. LOL i don't feel like smoking these. think i'll give the pack away. heh.

okay next part's the highlight of the day. a four-wheeler came to pick us up at our apartment to go on a desert trip. i'll skip the travelling part, pretty uninteresting. we arrived at open desert around 4+pm. our driver very funny guy. he like to jack other convoys of desert tour groups, so he do funny stunts in front of all of them, as if saying 'see! don't hire jackasses like them!' it was REALLY cool. think of roller coaster that goes left and right as well. then remove the safetybelts. HAHA. damn cool i tell you. we stopped at a remote place for pics. i think my dad took one of me, with the sun behind me. i was about 400m away, on top of a dune. the sand in the desert. its finer than powder, and it seems to dissolve into the air when you throw it up. cool innit?! anyway i emptied my ice mountain bottle and filled it with sand. hee.

we then made our way to this encampment, the 'bedouin desert camp'. lolol. had dinner there. drank lotsa wine. then after dinner a bellydancer came up to perform. she. was. BEAUTIFUL. as in. fairytale beautiful. callie said 'HORNY LA'. but as a matter of fact i didn't even get horny throughout! she started calling people up... then she hold my hand ask me dance. heeheheheh. got a pic in dad's camera. he sux as a cameraman. the picture, it was of me holding her hand. as in. only the hands. lololol. omg she's really really beautiful. maybe cos i was pretty filled up on wine. hehehe. whatever it is, i think she put me under a spell!

well well. so ended the day, and i'm back here. blogging. =)

tomorrow's gonna be a slack day. mom and dad's meeting a business friend for lunch. i dunno why they want me to follow.

omg i had a hell of a day. i dunno how to start. dubai is so fascinating. i'll start from we left home. =)

okay so we got into the car. dad drove us around the city for a look. damn what sia. the drivers like to tailgate. and on main/side roads... they drive at about 100kmph when they can. mad hor. then damn cool, driving halfway i hear damn loud engine, then got one lamborghini roar past, around 140kmph. hahaha. damn cool okay. then behind got porsche... then the carpark, beside our car, got 2 BM 6 series. haha. yeah... like mitsubishi evo, subaru.. too lousy for here.. even mercs, the lousiest is E350. sg i never even see it.. C500 also have.. the same model as in sg, but its 5 litres. MAD RIGHT. oh well. i went to the sail too. we took lotsa pics. haha. damn nice. apparently the sail looks like a crucifix from the sea... yeah.

then. we went to this megamall. its like. what. 2km long on the ground? yeah! and its only 1 or 2 storeys. then there's a connected hotel to it. connected by what? by a waterway. only can take water taxi! DAMN COOL ISN'T IT. and the hotels look like those morrocan-arab designs. lots of stone and wood, few windows. no metal no plastic.. damn damn damn cool.

okay here comes the most interesting part of today! we went to this bugis street-like place. except its like 20 times bigger! the arabs only say 1 kind of thing.

'FRIEND, DVDs, ROLEX, WALLETS?!'

lololol. its bargain heaven. i got me a new pair of real adidas though. cheap. 75bucks. err. its called 'dragon'. i think sg doesn't have. hahah. what else? OH YES.

i bought a miniature shisha. THAT WORKS. HEHEHEH.

we had dinner at a local restaurant. the food's like a fusion of cultures. naan, bbq chicken. yeahhh.

i'm flying off tomorrow, to dubai. not sure when i'm coming back. for those of you who don't know where dubai is, its in the middle east, in the united arab emirates. i'm going there on holiday. my dad works there. speaking of dad, he just emailed. the service apartment he's staying in just got burgled. here's an interesting snippet:

anyway. i went to harbourfront to meet eugene teh and 3 of his classmates. nice guys.. really are. haha. we went to sentosa. got a reaaaally good tan. =) and i went kayaking for the first time too! its really really fun, although i got a rather deep cut on my thumb. =/ but not bad for a first timer i think! =) then we played volleyball with another team.. we surpassed our target of 1-25. hahahahaha. we actually lost with 12-25! not bad. LOL. then we sat down and i stared at a blue ass that kept jiggling the word 'ROXY'. fucking hot sial...

and so for the past two days i've been working..

i love my job. super fun. 'cleaning flute' includes an electrolysis process! and its a lot like doing 3d jigsaw puzzles that can fit correctly and be wrong. lol!

but i hate chinese high.

they sent in a batch of instru, plastic clarinets, ancient flutes. ALL of them have rusty screws. takes ages to unscrew the instrument. and then some don't even come off. got to take special measures. lol. then chinese high smart, disfigure the screwhead in the attempt to unscrew the instrument. make my life so freaking hard. lol.

today... today i went out!

went to town, then suntec, met my classmates. had this thai all-you-can-eat ala carte thing. $15++, not bad. had wine to go with it, courtesy of xinghui. haha. good food and good company. loose tongues talk much cock. lol!

after dinner we went lanning.. dota. i thrash AM with necro, what a joke. lol. played for 3 hours i think. got home around 12. am still sitting here with a towel round my waist, i think i'd better go bathe. gotta sleep early.

i'm having flute tuition for the first time tomorrow. hmm am looking forward to it. =)

anyway. after grad night. couple of us went to europa bistro and got sick on beer. hahaha. chinablack was having a non-alcohol, non-smoking party, so we had to load up outside before going in. haha. chinablack itself.. eh i don't remember much.. i think i was dancing half-asleep. hahaha! anyway. i got home around 5.

next day was my cousin's wedding and sajc tune in. i was so dead that i couldn't get up for the tea ceremony in the morning. so i got up and went to school for the tune in..

saw some familiar faces among the sec 4s. sorry to the j1s, but i didn't find it very fun.. maybe because i was having a hangover and stuff.. but yeah not too bad lah! at least the food was damn good. haha!

after the tune in, i rushed home to change, then went to the wedding with mummy and kor. here's a family pic!



i drank that night again. haha. wine only though. well yeah. the next few days were uneventful. went swimming and stuff. well things led up to yesterday. when something not very nice happened. sorry! =/

oh well. i'm starting flute tuition on monday. and i've got a new job, which i'm starting at on tuesday.

i'm shit-tired. was playing call of duty last night. was so damn awake. until i completed the game - which took like. er. 7 hours. - then i looked outside the window and i was like wtf? why got sunlight?! i started playing around 12am, finished at 7am. haha. slept till 4, got up and played the call of duty expansion till now. i still haven't completed it yet.. but i don't think i'm up for another night of mad gaming. haha! wait i end up in psychological ward... 'omg that's a noobstick!'

shit my hands are shaking from all that adrenaline..

why? because my stupid comp broke down. =(( the repair guy said my motherboard's dyin. oh well. spoil then get new one. >=) HEHEHEH.
